Daryle Corriveau |
|
Daryle Corriveau was born and raised in Auburn, MA where he played on three state finalist teams, including a New England Championship 13 year old team which finished 2nd in the East. Corriveau graduated from Wachusett Regional HS ('89) where he posted a career ERA under 2.00 while compiling over twenty wins. He was named a Mid-Wach All Star, Telegram and Gazette All Star and team MVP in both his Junior and Senior years.
Corriveau played American Legion baseball for East Side Post #201 where he was named team MVP while leading the league in wins and ERA. He later played for the Milford Stan Musial team which advanced to the MA state tournament.
Corriveau received a scholarship to Division I UMASS-Amherst where he earned a spot in the starting rotation as a freshman. He pitched in a televised game against South Florida and also saw action against the University of Florida. His Atlantic 10 starts included West Virginia, Temple and Rutgers. He also posted 13 and 15 strikeout perfomances against non-conference opponents Holy Cross and Boston University. Corriveau finished his collegiate career at Westfield State where he was named an Academic All-American and a MASCAC All Star.
Corriveau is a member of the Worcester Area Baseball Umpires Association and is an MIAA and District tournament umpire. |
