Jim Rivela has been actively involved in youth baseball for over 10 years. During his tenure with Hudson Youth Baseball / Softball (HYBS), he held a variety of positions including Webmaster, Secretary, Tournament Director and Majors Director. He was the HYBS President from 2009-2011, supervising a league which services over 1,100 kids.
Rivela-coached HYBS tournament teams have excelled, including two District titles and one State championship. He has also run two District, two State and one Regional tournament.
Rivela has also been active as an AAU coach. In that capacity he has taken teams to Cooperstown (twice) and the Duquette Tournament (four times) - most recently a Warriors 13U team, which finished second in the 2010 Duquette Tournament.
As the Co-Director of AAU Operations, Rivela assists Mike Mocerino with scheduling, is responsible for field procurement and serves as the Warriors’ NEAAU liason. |
