Michelle Daley |

Michelle Daley graduated from Burncoat HS where she excelled in both field hockey and softball. She was elected to the Burncoat HS Athletic Hall of Fame. After graduating, Daley went on to star in both sports at Assumption College. She is also a member of the Assumption College Hall of Fame and is recognized as “one of the premier two-sport athletes in the history of Assumption College” for setting the “standard of excellence playing the most demanding positions on the field - as the premier goalkeeper of her time in field hockey and as an all-American catcher in softball.”
While at Assumption, Daley was named a Northeast-10 conference all-star three times and was selected by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association as a third-team all-American in 1998. Daley finished her career with a .331 batting average and 162 hits (12th in Assumption history, most by a catcher). She holds Assumption career catching records for putouts (722), assists (79) and total chances (811). She also caught the first perfect game in Assumption softball history.
Daley was the Head Softball Coach at Fitchburg State College from 2000 - 2007, where she holds the school record for career coaching victories. She led the Falcons to the first NCAA berth in the history of softball at the college |
