Instructor Bios

Nikki Ruffo

Nikki Ruffo brings over 13 years of softball instruction and coaching experience to RBI.  Currently, she is the Pitching Coach at Worcester State College.

 

Ruffo played at St. Peter-Marian HS where she was a four-time Central Mass All-Star, a three-time Telegram and Gazette All-Star and a 1994 Fast Pitch High School All-American.  In college, she was a member of the 1996-1997 Big East Champion Boston College Softball team.

 

Ruffo started her coaching career as the head coach of the 16U Worcester Twisters from 1997-2000.  In each of those years, the team qualified for the NSA New England Tournament and in 1999 and 2000 the team won the NSA State Championships.  The 2000 Twisters were the NSA National Runners-up.

 

During that same period, Ruffo also had a two-year stint as the Assistant Varsity Coach at St. Peter-Marian (‘98-‘99)  and was an assistant at Holy Cross during the 2000 season.

 

Ruffo was the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough from 2000 to 2006.  Her teams received the Mid-Wach A Sportsmanship Award in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 while her 2004 squad was honored with the State Sportsmanship Award.

 

Since 1998, Ruffo has ran or worked as an instructor several softball clinics including the Holden Softball League, the Home Run Club, the Northbridge Little League, Riley Baseball Instruction, Central Mass Elite Softball Clinics and The Bancroft School Summer Softball Clinics.

 

Ruffo received her BA in Marketing and Management from Boston College in 1999 and her MBA from Assumption in 2006.  Since 2000 she has taught Economics at Algonquin Regional High School.
