Tyler Sykes |

Tyler Sykes began his AAU playing career with Frozen Ropes in Franklin, MA. After his 14U season, he was selected to play in the East-West AAU all-star game. His 15U Frozen Ropes team finished 2nd in New England and 10th at the AAU National Tournament. He also participated in the 2004 AAU Junior Olympics in New Orleans.
Sykes attended St John’s HS in Shrewsbury his freshman and sophomore years before transferring to St Peter-Marian HS his junior year. That year, he was named to the Telegram and Gazette all-star team after winning a Central Mass batting title with a .492 average. He captained the Guardians during hs senior year while being named to the T&G all-star team for a second consecutive time after posting a .167 ERA. He was also selected to play in the Central Mass - Eastern Mass all-star game.
Sykes attended Franklin Pierce College (Ringe, NH) where he played on teams that appeared in three NCAA Div II World Series after winning three Northeast-10 championships and three Div II Northeast Regionals. |
